India ASEAN Expo & Summit Brochure


Centre for Science and Technology of the Non-Aligned and Other Developing Countries (NAM S&T Centre) invites nominations of the concerned researchers and professionals for participation in an International Training Workshop on ‘Developing Key Parameters for Ensuring Sustainability of Leather Sector in Developing Countries’ to be held in Chennai, India during 28th-31st January 2019 in partnership with the CSIR-Central Leather Research Institute (CLRI), Chennai, India. The main objectives of the Training Workshop is to bring together the experts and related stakeholders to discuss currently available technologies and methodologies and other enablers that would have a positive effect on social, economic, environmental and technological aspects that would influence the sustainability of the leather industry in various developing countries and other parts of the world.

 

Besides the usual presentations, the training workshop will include demonstration and field visits as well as a session on the 52nd Leather Research - Industry Get-Together. Moreover, the interested foreign participants may also attend the 35th edition of the India International Leather Fair from 31st January to 3rd February 2019 at the Chennai Trade Centre, Chennai at their own cost after extending their visit schedule through facilitation of the NAM S&T Centre.

 

Request for attending the Chennai, India Training Workshop may please be sent to the NAM S&T Centre (E-mail: namstcentre@gmail.com) by completing the Nomination Form, (also available on the Centre’s website www.namstct.org). English will be the official language of the Workshop.

 

Free local hospitality, including accommodation and meals, will be provided to all the NAM S&T Centre sponsored foreign participants from 27th January 2019 (Noon) to 1st February 2019 (Noon), i.e. for 5 nights commencing from one day before the Workshop and for an additional day after its conclusion. The participants should arrange their flight schedules accordingly; otherwise they will have to make their own arrangement of stay beyond these days.

 

Besides this, the NAM S&T Centre will provide return airfare between the international airport in Indonesia and Chennai, India by Excursion Class by Shortest Route to one official nominee.
