A Special Photo Exhibition and Cultural Event to Mark 70th Anniversary of India - Indonesia Diplomatic Relations at Prambanan Temple premises, Yogyakarta

Embassy of India celebrated 70th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relationship between India and Indonesia (1949-2019) at Prambanan Temple in Yogyakarta.

Several cultural events were organized by Embassy in partnership with Ministry of Tourism Republic of Indonesia and Taman Wisata Candi (TWC) the management company of Prambanan Ratu Boko and Borobudur temples.

H.E Ambassador Pradeep Kumar Rawat, Deputy Minister for Tourism Ibu Nia Niscaya inaugurated the photo exhibition depicting the strong relationship and friendship between India and Indonesia. The inaugural event was held at Ramayana Ballet Amphitheatre on 22nd June Saturday evening from 1830 to 1900 hrs. The Exhibition will be on Public display for 2 Weeks.

Excellencies were accompanied by Pak Agus Saptono, Director, Ministry of Transportation & Colonel Lek Suparno, Air Force Academy who witnessed the Inauguration of photo exhibition.

There after a special cultural performance was presented by Jawahar Lal Nehru Indian Cultural Centre (JNICC), Cultural wing of Embassy of India at Main stage of Ramayana Ballet Amphitheatre from 1900 until 1930 hrs.

Talented Indian and Indonesian dancers of Indian classical and Bollywood dance styles performed in front of more than 500 guests who applauded the performances. The performances were graced by Ambassador Pradeep Kumar Rawat, Deputy Minister of Tourism Ibu Nia Niscaya and other dignitaries.
