Condolences on the loss of lives in tragic earthquake

            The Embassy of India in Jakarta expresses its deep condolences to the victims and their families of the earthquake which occurred on 21.11.2022 (Monday) afternoon in the Cianjur region of West Java province, 75 kilometers (47 miles) south of the Jakarta capital, which caused loss of 162 lives and left at least 326 residents injured.

2.   Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi delivered the following message of condolences “Saddened by the loss of lives and damage to property from the earthquake in Indonesia. Deepest condolences to the victims and their families. Wish a speedy recovery to the injured. India stands with Indonesia in this hour of grief.”

3.    The Minister of External Affairs of India, Dr. S. Jaishankar also expressed his sincere condolences-“Saddened to hear news about the loss of life and property in Java, Indonesia from the earthquake. My thoughts are with the bereaved families. Wish the injured a speedy recovery. India stands in solidarity with Indonesia at this difficult time.” on his official Twitter account.
