Flag Unfurling Ceremony on the occasion of 74^th Republic Day

          The Embassy of India, Jakarta, celebrated the 74^th Republic Day on 26^th January, 2023 with enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. Similar ceremonies also took place at the Indian Consulates in Bali and Medan.

2. The celebrations, held at the India House, commenced with the unfurling of the National Flag by the Ambassador of India to Indonesia, H.E. Mr. Manoj Kumar Bharti, followed by singing of the National Anthem of India. More than 400 guests were present at the occasion.

3. Ambassador, thereafter, read out the Hon’ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu’s address to the nation on the eve of Republic Day. In his address to the guests, Ambassador greeted the Indian community in Indonesia, and Friends of India and highlighted the idea and aspiration behind the Indian G-20 Presidency, and the proposal of International Year of Millets. Ambassador thanked the guests for turning out in large number on the occasion.

4. On this occasion, the enthusiastic students from Gandhi Memorial Intercontinental School, Jakarta, Rama Global School, Purwakarta, and Singapore International School, Jakarta presented mesmerising song and dance performances on patriotic songs. Members of the Indian community also presented soulful rendition of patriotic songs. The event ended with guests enjoying assorted Indian refreshments.
