1. Pongal Kondattam
Date:27 January, 2019.
Venue:Taman Buperta, Cibubur
Celebration of Pongal Festival. ITS has been conduction this Harvest Festival Celebration for the past 2 years which is an indoor and outdoor event. Pongal is made in clay pot in traditional method by the Ladies of the Community. We also arranged horse carts, games for children.
2. SANGAMAM 2019
Date:27 April, 2019.
Venue:PRJ, Kemayoran
I.T.S has been conducting this event for the last more than 6 years. It is an event to celebrate Tamil New Year. Its an Arts and Cultural festival. Home made food of Tamil Nadu special were on sale in several stalls, Members of ITS presented several cultural programs.
3. Pongal / Lohri / Sankranti: Thai Pongal is a harvest festival dedicated to the Sun God. It is a four-day festival which according to the Tamil calendar . Event attended by 120+ Indian community people .
4. Indian Food Festival : Event attended by 200+ Indian community people .
5. Bunga Parade Surabaya: Culture and Flower Parade is an annual event to commemorate Surabaya city’s anniversary -attended by our community members which was orgainsed by Mayor of Surabaya
6. Holi Holi- Holi is the festival of love or colors that signifies the victory of superior over immoral .event was attended by 200+ Indian community people .
7. Sports day Rest a while and Run a mile ‘’has become mantra of our lives.IAS organized Annual Sports Day with participation of 120 + community presence .
8. Yoga day Yoga is an invaluable gift of India's ancient tradition .Indian Association Surabaya organized International Day Of Yoga with the help of Indian Embassy Jakarta , with about 1000+ attendance and majority of them are Indonesians.
9. Dandiya Navaratri/Dussehra/Dasara/Durga puja-IAS Once again made sure all traditional events were a part of Navaratri celebrations. Range of events were organised like Devi vandana ,Ravan dahan ,Dandiya, craft competition to kids,lamp decoration for ladies & Best costume awards.It still stays afresh in the bottom of our hearts.
10. Diwali Indian Association Surabaya celebrated the festival of light i.e.Diwali at Wyndham Hotel,Surabaya.Hon’able chief guest His excellency Sri Pradeep Kumar Rawat , Ambassador of India to Indonesia and Timor-Leste was the chief guest.
11. Felicitation IAS felicitated 12 students who have participated in co curricular events both at national and international level.
12. Social Responsibilty As a part of social responsibility IAS collected 11Mn IDR and credited to Prime Minister National relief fund-New delhi.
